Zircon 15

Helgeroa, Vestfold, Norway

H:2cm x W:2cm x D:1cm

Quite an unusual, compressed zircon from this small locality. Locality is given as 'Helgeroa, Norway' and I assume it is the Mindat locality 'Salbutangen, Helgeroa, Langesundsfjorden, Larvik, Vestfold, Norway'. Nice orange-ish colour. This is the only zircon of this locality apparently on the Web. I wonder if this is because the locality is quite small.

Apatite in Talc € 55

Udaipur Division, Rajasthan, India

Size: H:7cm x W:5cm x D:5cm

Interesting specimen of apatite in Talc from India. On the internet, the locality I could find for Apatite in Talc mentioned is Udaipur, India. Very gemmy larger crystal and several smaller ones. Apple Green-Yellow colour. Stress fractures inside of the apatite but very gemmy nonetheless. This is the only specimen I have ever seen like this.

Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size: H:9cm x W:7.5cm x D:4cm

Description
A very sparkly specimen of apophyllite double-terminated crystals with minor stilbite on a base of what I believe to be heulandite. The apophyillite also has a number of crystals included with some sort of chlorite mineral. The crystals seem to be in lovely condition. Purchased by the Witkam Family in 1975.

Wolframite & Quartz€ 25

Size: H:3.5cm x W:4.5cm x D:4cm

Quite an interesting piece. On the outside, there are some shiny crystals of wolframite but the really interesting part is on the inside of vugs in the specimen. There you will find blades of wolframite being 'eaten' by the quartz (Var Chalcedony) and small masses of chalcedony as well. Extremely fascinating to photograph.
